There are no cars in this game, making it literally a running game, although one character does have a cart (however it is the worst character!). I think this game has it's fans and critics but being apart of the Sonic the Hedgehog collection, it can be enjoyed by any Sonic fan. Sonic R is a 3D racing game for the Sega Saturn that was developed by Sonic Team and Travellers Tales, and is the third Sonic racing game to be created in the franchise, the first two being Sonic Drift and Sonic Drift 2 for the Sega Game Gear.
